Hippie Highway 2.0 is the second iteration of our hazy IPA collaboration with our good friends at There Does Not Exist in San Luis Obispo, this time cranked up to double IPA proportions. We chose a base of Proximity Pilsen malt and then added malted oats and honey oats for a silky texture and brooding haze. This time we selected Talus and Motueka for the whirlpool to take advantage of their uniquely floral and citrusy hot-side properties. For dry hops, we brought back the Nelson and Riwaka that we used last year, then added Ekuanot Cryo for another layer of tropical punch dankness. This combo layers in copious amounts of tropical fruit, floral, and dank aromas.
